Sydney Cricket Grounds

Everyone who has a passion for sport (and in particular, Cricket) should visit the Sydney Cricket Ground. There’s no doubt that the SCG will leave you with memories that will last you a lifetime.

You see, the Sydney Cricket Ground is rich in history and has been an integral part of Cricket in Australia for the last century.

All the cricketing greats have played here including Australia’s favourite son Don Bradman. You can find out all about Bradman and the legendary matches played at the ground by visiting the Cricket Australia museum.

The ground comfortably holds around 44,000 fans and you can see quite a few test and Pura Cup matches throughout the year.

In 1998, the SCG saw an additional purpose built football stadium added to the site which now sees action from many football codes. The ground is called Aussie Stadium and the Australian Rugby League, Rugby Union and Australian Soccer all schedule events there on a regular basis.

Travelling to the Sydney Cricket Ground is quick and easy. On match days there are buses that leave Central Station in the city every few minutes. Or, you can easily walk to the ground because Moore Park is located only 2-3 kilometres from the centre of Sydney.
